The Clearcut app: the Breakdown of a serum, with its verdict and what reviewers praise
How it works

From the shelf to a verdict in seconds.

  1. 01

Scan it, share it or search it

Point the camera at a barcode in the aisle, share a link from any store app, or type the name.

Screen: The Scan screen reading a barcode.
  2. 02

    One verdict from many reviews

Buy, Maybe or Skip, with the reasons: what reviewers praise and what they complain about.

Screen: A verdict of Maybe, with what reviewers praise and complain about.
  3. 03

    Compare two products

Side by side, with a plain answer when they are too close to call.

Screen: Compare: which of two serums is the better buy.
  4. 04

    Buy at the right price

See the best price, watch a price, and get a note when it drops.

Screen: Saved: watched prices and a price drop.

Why you can trust the verdict

Clearcut earns a commission when you buy through its store links. Nothing else: no ads, no paid placement, no subscription. These rules protect the verdict.

  1. 1

Verdicts are computed before prices or links are attached. The verdict engine never sees commission rates.

  2. 2

Brands can't pay to be recommended, ranked or removed.

  3. 3

“Best price” means best price, even when that store pays us nothing.

  4. 4

Disclosure is plain and early: on the app’s first screen, under every price list, and in You › How Clearcut makes money.

Know before you buy.
